The Southwest Michigan Eating Disorders Association (founded as the Kalamazoo Eating Disorders Professional Coalition) is a group of therapists, nutritionists, social workers, educators, and physicians experienced in the treatment of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, and other eating disorders. We have come together to provide team-based treatment for patients with eating disorders in Southwest Lower Michigan, educate the people of our community and region about eating disorders, and educate ourselves and other professionals in our community on how to recognize and treat patients with eating disorders. |
SMEDA, in partnership with the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, is organizing an art exhibit to bring attention to eating disorders as part of the February, 2010 Kalamazoo Art Hop.
The theme for the exhibit is Living with an Eating Disorder. The exhibit will be held on the 2nd floor of the Epic Center in downtown Kalamazoo on February 5, 2010. For more details, click here .
